I’ve never been known to wear hats, but it seems as though every store I pop into lately has a variety of beanies to choose from. I do have several plain and simple beanies lying around, but I’ve never been bold enough to take on a pom beanie. I don’t know why. Maybe it’s because it reminds me of the winter hats I used to wear as a toddler. I remember my first pom beanie like it was yesterday; it was white with multi color hearts and had my name printed across the front in pink. When did these pom hats become cute again? Well, I guess you could say I’m feeling “bold” this season because I bit the bullet and bought this beige faux-fur pom beanie from Beyond Trends. It can be worn with a wide variety of colors and you can wear it to lay further on the back of your head or straight up, allowing the pom to shine! Get on and get yourself a pom beanie this season; I promise you’ll feel like a little kid again.

Happy Labor Day babes! I hope you’ve been enjoying this beautiful weekend as much as I have. The final days of summer have been pure bliss and I was particularly excited that I was able to get some wear out of my newest romper from Beyond Trends. This blue and white romper is a perfect balance of comfort and sex appeal, with it’s easy elastic waist band and plunging deep v. While I’m anxious to start layering, I’ll definitely miss the simplicity of summer clothing. Not to mention, when fall begins winter is not far to follow. I purchased this Mykonos romper for 30% off at Beyond Trends in Somerville, NJ since all of their summer styles are marked down! Honestly, rompers for summer will never go out of style, so buying some summer pieces for less at this time of year is worth it. I hope you have a wonderful holiday and excuse me while I go and take advantage of all of the AMAZING Labor Day sales, bye!

Although the summer is nearly over we still have some warm weeks ahead even going into September. As much as I LOVE going to the mall, there’s nothing better than visiting a boutique and finding some hidden gems at a reasonable price. Not to mention, most experiences at boutiques are much more intimate and personal. Often times the sales associates are more honest about what looks good or what’s trending because they genuinely want you to come back again, knowing they’re there to help. I decided to take a trip to Somerville, NJ to a new local hot spot Beyond Trends. It was recommended to me by a close friend and former supervisor, from Ladyfingers Boutique (she now has a new store, K. Bella in Somerville, check it out!) as I entered the store I felt the need to grab about 15 articles of clothing, everything caught my eye. To my surprise, all summer merchandise was 30% off  and fortunately more than half of my selections were rompers. I purchased TWO for a total of $60.00—UM AMAZING! This multi-colored intricately patterned romper is unlike any other I own, hence why I NEEDED it. It’s loose fitting and flowing with a deep v-neck; normally I would wear a lace bandeau under this, however I was in a rush and desperate to wear it, so I settled for a cami. I love crochet and lace embellishments, they have the ability to make clothing look delicate, soft and elegant. As you can imagine, that’s exactly what lead me to this beauty. It’s a romantic romper, one that you can imagine yourself strolling through a field of sunflowers or barefoot on the beach—I love everything about it. So, if you’re in the area ditch the mall for the day and do some local boutique shopping, you’ll be surprised how much better you feel about spending your money.
