The official last day of summer is September 22nd and I’ll be honest I’m having mixed feelings. However, since I’m embarking on a new chapter I feel it’s only appropriate that a new season is beginning. I’ve always been one to follow rules, but when it comes to clothing rules just don’t work for me. So as you can imagine that whole not wearing white after Labor Day has never been been a rule I’ve tried to follow, even when it was taken “seriously”. I love nothing more than a loose fitting white top, which is why this one from Banana Republic will remain a mainstay in my closet well into fall. And I can imagine you’re pretty tired of seeing these white Banana Republic pants, but that should tell you just how necessary they are. So while you’ll probably see me shift into fall, I still plan to keep some of favorite summer staples on hand for a fun mix.

While I’m a huge fan of the all white trend, I do love my pale pinks and grays; In fact they’ve become my go-to color palette this season. I especially love this soft gray textured moto, it is my ultimate transitional piece thus far. I’m actually starting to think my Abercrombie & Fitch denim jacket may have met its match—there’s some serious competition now. I’ve been wearing it almost as much, since it’s so easily worn with a pair of  shorts or a comfy maxi–it’s rich texture and color screams sophistication.

Yay! We’re finally experiencing consistent spring weather, and it’s amazing. It only felt right to ditch my black and grey winter wardrobe and pull out my favorite lights and whites. I know you’re probably aware of my crop top obsession by now, but this Kora Rae crop top still remains to be my top contender this spring. It’s reversible, (as shown in my previous post in pink/blush), and this grey/chalk color works well with a variety of color combos; I can’t get over how well it complements my wide-leg cropped pants–hello spring staple! This outfit has actually been named my dynamic duo; the flirty top offsets the wide-leg (conservative) cropped pants. Enjoy the sunshine lovelies!

Happy Monday!
