FRIDAY FEELS

DSC_0280editedDSC_0275 editedDSC_0319 editedDSC_0336editedDSC_0337editedDetails: Pure Jill textured sweater vest c/o J.Jill, here  | Thierry Rabotin black suede pumps, similar here |

Last weekend we were #blessed with unseasonably warm weather, and as I mentioned on Monday, I was obnoxiously giddy about it. It inspired me to get my spring looks down and while I was preparing to wear this vest layered over a classic long white tee, I decided to bare it all. I relied on a trusted white cami, slipped on my favorite blue jeans and gave this casual look some sass with my Thierry Rabotin strap pumps. I think it’s safe to say I won’t be able to wear this look this weekend, considering a nor’easter is expected, but I’ve got one spring outfit down. As for shoes, I’m always wearing heels, but it can be taxing on my poor feet. I decided to switch it up a bit and went with a smaller heel and a much comfier shoe than I’m used to. Thierry Rabotin is dedicated to designing stylish and comfortable shoes, using premium quality leathers and fabrics out of their own factory in Busto Garolfo, Italy. With shoes this cute and comfortable there’s just no contest.

My New England is Showing

I don’t know about you, but New Jersey didn’t see a white Christmas this year; I have some mixed feelings, there’s something wrong about a mild 55 degrees while I’m lounging in my flannel Hoodie Footies waiting for Santa. I guess you could say I’m slightly disappointed, after spending four years at school in Massachusetts you’d think I’d be sick of the snow. In fact when I left I was happy to revisit the (slightly) shorter winters in New Jersey. (Enter nostalgia) while in MA  I admittedly forfeited fashion to adjust to the colder temps. This didn’t happen often but when it did I’d pair my Lands End vest with sweats and bean boots.

Now that I’m a “grown up”, I decided to greet the white Thanksgiving we had in the same Land’s End vest, however, I graduated to jeans, booties, oh and can’t forget my blanket scarf. If you decide to invest in a scarf this season, let it be this, its undeniable comfort and constant warmth makes it THE scarf to be reckoned with.
