It’s FINALLY Friday, and I am SO ready to lounge out this weekend. Lately, my weekends have been jam packed up until now, and while I still have a lot to do I’m looking forward to doing it in my UNIQLO lounge pants. These bad boys are comfortable, and light-weight making them appropriate enough for luke warm spring days like today. I also want to give a shout out to my mirror face making an appearance in today’s post—- HAHAH. Doesn’t everyone have an unintentional mirror face? I think mine is more severe than most, and while attempting to look like a BAMF my mirror face slipped out—oops! The truth is, this outfit isn’t typical for me. I mean yes, in a perfect world I would be wearing a baseball cap and sweats every day of the week, but I get bored easily and as you can probably tell my style is a little inconsistent. But that’s what I love most about it; it’s fun to use clothing to represent different pieces of yourself—everyone’s a little bit of a BAMF once in and while. And if you’re like me and you’re just NOT…ever, then at least you can try and look the part. If you’re the type of person who only wears black or would never wear a dress, do me a favor and try out something new. I promise, you’ll surprise yourself, and it’s SO much fun! Think of it as playing a part in a movie or a play, but the main character isn’t the self that you know, instead it’s a tiny piece of who you are brought to life. You’ll be surprised how much a  trip outside your comfort zone will change your wardrobe, it’ll add variety and dimension. So…what do you have to lose?! It’s the weekend…and as Countess LuAnn would say, “just be cool, don’t be all….uncool”, just take the rest of the day to let those wise weekend words seep in ;).

While I’m a huge fan of the all white trend, I do love my pale pinks and grays; In fact they’ve become my go-to color palette this season. I especially love this soft gray textured moto, it is my ultimate transitional piece thus far. I’m actually starting to think my Abercrombie & Fitch denim jacket may have met its match—there’s some serious competition now. I’ve been wearing it almost as much, since it’s so easily worn with a pair of  shorts or a comfy maxi–it’s rich texture and color screams sophistication.

After this week, I am SO ready for the weekend! Since I treated myself to some new spring favorites last week, I couldn’t be more anxious to start mixing, matching and creating some spring looks. Considering I’ll be traveling up to MA today I decided to go with a casual outfit that transitions easily from work to play—Okay… I’ll be honest I had given up on Forever 21; I was tired of the short lifespan of their clothes and was frustrated by the lack of quality, but like all good loves I gave them a second chance. Um thank god I did!—as soon as I laid my eyes on this long side-slit blazer my heart was theirs again. This piece is elegant and easy; I paired it with dark acid wash high-waisted jeans and a simple fitted cross-over crop top— the blazer makes it office appropriate while the simplicity of the pants and top make it acceptable for a beer at the bar.

Happy Friday Loves!

There’s nothing better than walking around the city in nothing  but a light-weight linen shirt. Goodbye puffy coat, it’s been real. This lax look consists of a graphic tee that serves as a sweet reminder to never stop dreaming and always continue to work for what you want; life’s really too short not to. And I took it back to the 90’s with these light grey acid wash jeans;I totally felt like DJ Tanner— and how could I have completed this outfit with out my chucks!? Since spring has officially sprung I can’t imagine ever wearing winter layers or snow boots again. It’s so liberating to walk around coatless and with bare ankles. And I think I’ve met my match with this baby blue linen shirt. It’s comfortably sophisticated, can be paired over a bathing suit or dressed up with with wide leg pants—the options are endless.

Here’s to endless iced coffees, coatless days, and linen loves!

Well, it’s Monday again and aside from the fact that it is unbearably difficult to get out of bed, it’s equally as difficult to pick out an outfit. I have been struggling with this cold weather, the mornings are frigid and the Mother Nature’s been paying tricks. Fortunately, I have found the perfect pant to combat the agonizing Monday morning outfit struggle. These J. Jill tencel banded-hem pants are comfortable, casual, but office appropriate. They’re lightweight making it an easy transition into spring, yet will still be acceptable in the early months of fall. Not only do they have a drawstring waist, but they even have POCKETS; it’s like wearing extra fancy sweats!  My slouchy peach Gap sweater complemented the navy pants, and my two-toned pumps were a considerate effort to dress up my lax look.
