A DRESS JUST FOR ME

DSC_0029 editedDSC_1001 editedDSC_0030 editedDSC_0052 editedDSC_0066 editedDetails: eShakti custom belted cotton plaid dress, here | Primark suede wedge booties, similar here |

I think it’s safe to say, most girls love a long maxi for the fall months. It’s just an easy outfit option and there’s little thought into it—slip it on and you’re ready to go. Unfortunately, maxis aren’t so easy for me, for the fact that I’m 5’1″ and have a hard enough time finding short enough pants let alone a lengthy dress. It’s been frustrating to say the least, until I discovered eShakti. eShakti is a customizable site for women’s clothing. They have everything from chic tops to flowing maxis. First, choose a style you’re loving, then provide your measurements, AND finally you have the option to design it the way YOU want. Perhaps you want a plunging neckline or a shorter hemline?—they can do it! You can imagine my excitement when I saw their wide selection of beautiful maxis; I went straight for this classic plaid option (belt included) and decided to select the ankle length option so that I can shed light on my shoes. It took about 2 weeks to get to me, but it was worth the wait and even with all of the customization the price is extremely reasonable. So, while you’re partaking in some Columbus Day sales today, take a peek at eShakti— it’s a no fuss option and definitely ideal for the upcoming holiday parties.

Boho Maxis + Beach Waves

DSC_1332 edited 2DSC_1361 editedDSC_1342 editedDSC_1306 editedDSC_1386 editedDetails: Water color maxi dress, (locally bought from CONTACT)  available at Necessary Clothing here | Beach waves by the amazing Beachwaver, here  |

Finding maxis for me, someone who is vertically challenged really isn’t easy. But when I strolled into one of my favorite boutiques on my lunch break, I was introduced to the one that has officially changed the game, I mean it is practically made for me. Not only is the length ideal, but the water color combo is just enough to make it a romantic summer staple. The detailed straps make this ultra low v-neck less sexy and more modest; it’s a dress that can be worn to a daytime brunch with friends to a candlelit date for two. A dress with this much flow, the only appropriate hair status is a beach wave. Honestly, how many liquid spray products have you seen that promise luxurious beach waves and all you seem to manage to scrunch and diffuse out is a bed head look that desperately needs a comb? I guess I’m gullible, but I’ve gone through way too many to be honest with you about. So when my hairdresser introduced me to The Beachwaver, I deemed her my hairy godmother; answering my prayers for boho lux locks. This is definitely a look I plan to overuse for the remainder of the summer.

Happy Monday!
