Monday morning is always difficult to cope with. I always find that wearing something comfortable and easy helps me cope with the stressful day. As you can tell, I’m a big fan of oversized garments, especially during the colder months. This Pure Jill kimono-sleeve sweater is the perfect piece to help transition from heavy chunky knits to soft and breezy ones. It’s comfy and cozy, but not overwhelmingly warm like our beloved wool sweaters. It has been ideal for the recent weather we’ve been having. I chose the ‘rain heather blue’ color because I have a thing for cool tones, but it also comes in peach heather, pearl pink heather, and sunlight heather. I don’t think there’s a wrong choice, in fact, I may have to get myself the peach one. It’s a piece you can wear now, in the colder and snow susceptible months, as well as in May and June, when the heat starts to rise. I decided to give my denim pants a rest and because I’m not quite ready to pull out my white denim pants, I went with these heather white washed jeans; a cool tone combo. Here goes nothing, Monday. I hope you have a comfy cozy Monday.
Since I posted an all white look for the winter season, I decided it was only appropriate to do so for the summer as well. We all know the saying ‘less is more’ and that’s especially true for an all white ensemble. Some people feel the need to overcompensate for such a minimalist look, but letting your look speak for itself is sometimes the best policy. I won’t lie, I did consider a necklace of some sort, however this Pure Jill open stitch top needs no accessory. Its delicate stitching provides an intricate look when layered over a crisp white tank. Coming from someone who has a closet filled with white and ivory tops, believe me when I say this is in my top 5. It’s different from all the others I’ve come across, and regardless of if you’re wearing it with white denim or cutoff shorts it manages to look clean and classic.
