THE JUMPSUIT THAT FEELS LIKE FAMILY

Details: Wearever Full-Leg Jumpsuit, c/o J.Jill, here |

Over the weekend, I had the pleasure of attending my cousin’s wedding in Killington, Vermont. It was such a (not to sound cheesy) love-filled weekend. You know when you don’t realize you needed some quality family time until you have the best time with your family and realize it’s exactly what you needed. I left Vermont feeling so loved, and with new hilarious memories to recount with the fam. It reminded me that there are a group of equally quirky, weird, hilarious, loving, beautiful people who love me. It feels so good to have that many people in your corner, and last weekend was a huge reminder of that.

On to the outfit (I promise, it’s related). This ultra-cozy, super flattering and wear-everywhere jumpsuit is EVERYTHING. It’s so comfortable, fits like a glove (available in petite sizing), and makes me feel good about myself. Just like my family. It makes me feel confident and comfortable in my own skin. I haven’t stopped wearing it and it’s so easy to take from day to night. Wear it with a casual pair of platform sandals, or your favorite summer wedges and statement earrings–PERFECTION.

Take away from the blog post: If you’re ever feeling lost, alone or just having a bad day, remember that there are a group of equally weird, hilarious, beautiful people who love you and always will.

NIX THE DRESS, GRAB A JUMPSUIT

Details: Lauren Ralph Lauren Cold Shoulder Jumpsuit via Macy’s, here |

While I love a good red dress for the holidays, there’s nothing better than wearing pants, especially in the winter. This season I decided to give my favorite dresses a break and get on my winter jumpsuit game. I’m especially loving this peek-a-boo shoulder burgundy one from Ralph Lauren. One, I love the wide leg (extra comfort). Two, the (flattering) ruching makes it easy to eat, drink and be merry without anyone noticing a little bloat, ya feel me? And while I typically stick to black and a more fiery red, this burgundy color is rich and flattering. In fact, it’s my new favorite. But if black is more your speed, you’re in luck! This jumpsuit is available here in black and navy. Now, this doesn’t mean I’m totally ditching dresses this season. Showing a little leg is always a good idea, but I’m just expanding my holiday attire a bit further. Stay tuned for more holiday favorites and let me know what you’re planning on wearing for your upcoming celebrations?!

CALL ME, MRS. POTTS

DSC_0683 editedDSC_0659 editedDSC_0664 editedDSC_0717 editedDSC_0720 editedDetails: SheInside blue and white floral crop top and short set, here  | Franco Sarto sandals via Marshall’s, here  |

I’ve always been partial to a matching crop top and short set, in fact this isn’t my first time posting about one. However, this set (one that my boyfriend tells me I look like a tea pot in) only because the intricate pattern reminds him of an ACTUAL oriental tea set. And after talking to friends and questioning my own boyfriend, I’ve come to a conclusion that there are a good deal of guys out there that have a strong distaste for rompers, jumpsuits and matching sets. Nonetheless, I don’t really care what anyone thinks but I was wondering why they hate them so much. Maybe it reminds some of their childhood, where they were forced to pose in family photos donning a onesie or a matching ensemble from their great Aunt Mary. I get that, and understand how haunting a memory that could be, especially since  it’s one they will never be able to live it down. But I hate to break it to you boys, onesies and sets are here to stay—for now. I like this one in particular because of its pattern; I don’t have anything like it and I’m partial to crisp white and royal blue. It’s definitely an outfit you can dress up or down, I took a more casual approach with my Franco Sarto gladiator sandals (which are SO comfortable btw). If you’re a lover of matching sets and onesies, rock them all season long—you look FABULOUS!
