I can’t say I’m your typical preppy paisley girl, but when I came across this layered paisley dress with vibrant tangerine, pink and red colors accented by a rich royal blue. Unlike most J. Jill dresses this one is an ideal length because it’s just short enough to be sexy but long enough to remain sophisticated. It kind of gives me some retro-inspired vibes and I’m sure you can tell by now how much I love retro looks. I can say with certainty that this dress can LITERALLY be worn everywhere for nearly any occasion. I’ve worn it to work, out with friends and even to a recent outdoor wedding. It’s my go-to and on days when I’m lazy and feel like I have NOTHING to wear, this dress serves as an easy option—it does all the work for me. My dress of the summer–now go get yours!

Fortunately, we’ve been experiencing a mild winter here in Boston and I’ve had absolutely no complaints. During the winter months, I’m notorious for wearing my UGGS into the ground. I’m just not a rain boot/snowboot person; I mean is anyone really a rainboot/snowboot person? What I mean is, I’d much rather have wet feet than wear heinous, uncomfortable, rubber boots. It wasn’t until I started working at my current job that I realized I didn’t have to put my beloved UGGS through hell. These Original Muck Boot Company Verona leather boots have given my unequipped shoes their lives back. They’re easy to pull on, 100% waterproof leather, and they look super cute with a variety of outfits, so as not to sacrifice fashion for function. And while I always resort to a chunky knit when the weather gets frightful,  I decided to give them rest and layered my favorite UNIQLO plaid shirt over a light heather grey sweater. I think I’m ready for a real winter storm now… actually…nope…no…I’m not.
