This past weekend finally felt like summer, and I did everything to make the most of it since you never really know how long this sunny warm streak will last. My weekend began with a delicious meal at a local Italian restaurant here in South Boston and a swoon-worthy sunset. Then, on Saturday, I met up with my friend for a beachside work, took a stroll to get some coffee and met up with friends at Granite Links in Quincy for dinner drinks and awesome views. It was such a great day, filled with so many laughs, a ton of sunshine and delicious drinks and food. To close out a fabulous weekend, on Sunday, I headed to the North End to enjoy some more sun on a friend’s roof, people watched at Christopher Columbus Park, and ended the day with Josh’s softball game (they won! cue Queen’s We are the Champions). Can you say busy, busy!? But it was such fun weekend– the good kind of busy! When planning my Saturday night outfit, I wanted to wear something that would transition from afternoon to evening. I was not in the mood to show off my not-so tan legs, and I was feeling a bit bloated from the Italian feast Josh and I indulged in on Friday, so I went with this amazingly comfortable linen-stretch button-front crops from J.Jill. They are my absolute FAVORITE summer staple so far, and instead of the grey and white striped top above, I wore a classic black top and brought along a denim jacket just in case it got chilly. I felt comfortable and super sophisticated. Instead of my go-to block heels, I went with these Steve Madden ankle strap platform sandals. More comfort and sophistication ensued.
If I could relive this weekend all summer, I absolutely would! Do you have a go-to outfit that you can see yourself wearing all summer long? If so, let me know what it is!
