Details: Water color maxi dress, (locally bought from CONTACT) available at Necessary Clothing here | Beach waves by the amazing Beachwaver, here |
Finding maxis for me, someone who is vertically challenged really isn’t easy. But when I strolled into one of my favorite boutiques on my lunch break, I was introduced to the one that has officially changed the game, I mean it is practically made for me. Not only is the length ideal, but the water color combo is just enough to make it a romantic summer staple. The detailed straps make this ultra low v-neck less sexy and more modest; it’s a dress that can be worn to a daytime brunch with friends to a candlelit date for two. A dress with this much flow, the only appropriate hair status is a beach wave. Honestly, how many liquid spray products have you seen that promise luxurious beach waves and all you seem to manage to scrunch and diffuse out is a bed head look that desperately needs a comb? I guess I’m gullible, but I’ve gone through way too many to be honest with you about. So when my hairdresser introduced me to The Beachwaver, I deemed her my hairy godmother; answering my prayers for boho lux locks. This is definitely a look I plan to overuse for the remainder of the summer.
Happy Monday!

This dress is beyond gorgeous. I love the water color look and the straps. It’s definitely romantic and the versatility regarding all of the occasions this dress can be worn for is on point. I am also vertically challenged. I find that most Maxis come in “petite” sizing. I’m not exactly petite, but I find that the maxis fit about the same as normal sizing, they just sport shorter hems! Total win.
